What Gratune stores
Gratune stores gratitude entries, optional voice notes, optional photos, prayers, reminder settings, streak information, calendar history, and optional app-lock preference on your device.
Gratune is a local-first Christian gratitude journal. This policy explains how the app handles data on iPhone and Android.
Gratune stores gratitude entries, optional voice notes, optional photos, prayers, reminder settings, streak information, calendar history, and optional app-lock preference on your device.
The microphone is used only when you choose to record a voice gratitude entry or use voice typing. Saved voice notes stay on your device unless you choose to share or export something outside the app.
If you use speech-to-text, your device or its configured speech recognition service may process spoken audio to create the transcript.
If you choose to take a photo for a gratitude entry, the image is stored on your device as part of that entry. Sharing happens only when you tap a share action.
Backup export and restore happen only when you choose a file through the document picker. Backup files include journal text and settings, but they do not include saved voice-note audio files or saved entry photos.
If you enable app lock, Gratune asks the operating system to verify your face, fingerprint, or device credential. Gratune does not receive or store biometric data.
Gratune does not require an account, cloud sync, or a remote analytics backend. The app does not send written gratitude reflections or prayers to a remote analytics service.
